There´s a lot of information to be found about safe work practices and good work environment.
The legislation around this is quite similar in Sweden and the UK, but also the rest of EU has almost similar rules on the labour market.
It is more the safety culture that differs troughout Europe, some countries has less rigid ways to implement the legislation but also the workers have a different view on how to work safe.
The Swedish Work Environment authority is the authority that issues the statutes and rules that has to be followed on a swedish work site.
The swedish trade unions, especially in the construction field, is very active and they also monitor the safety at work sites where they have their members present, and sometimes they also try to implement the swedish rules into work sites where there is no members present. This is in their view a way to improve the safety but also to prevent low wage workers to cut wages in the country.
You can get allmost everything there is written about work safety legislation from the
Work Environment Authority, and it is open and free.
